Backup is a copy of your data. Disaster recovery is how fast you can actually run the business again after an outage, ransomware attack, or site loss. We handle both: protected copies of your data, plus a documented, tested plan and standby systems to bring critical servers back online.
Your Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is how much data you can afford to lose, for example the last 15 minutes or the last day. Your Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is how long you can afford to be down. We set both with you for each system and design the backup schedule and recovery method to meet them.
Our backups are immutable, meaning they can't be changed or deleted for a set retention period, even with admin credentials. Backup credentials are kept separate from your production accounts, and an offsite copy is kept isolated from your network. That's what lets you restore clean data instead of paying a ransom.
Yes. Most cyber insurers now ask for offsite or immutable backups, isolated backup credentials, and documented restore testing. We provide the backup setup, quarterly test records, and a written recovery plan you can hand to your insurer or auditor.
Microsoft keeps its service running, but deleted or overwritten email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams data is only recoverable for a limited time. Separate Microsoft 365 backup keeps your own copy with longer retention, so an accidental deletion, a departing employee, or a compromised account doesn't mean lost data.
Backups are verified automatically every day. On Business Continuity and Enterprise DR plans we also run a documented restore test every quarter, and Enterprise DR includes an annual failover exercise where critical systems are brought up in the cloud to prove the plan works.
